In Sugar Grove, Illinois, just west of the Aurora Airport, stands a brand-new wedding and event facility: White Stone Events.
Purchased four years ago by Ryan Rogerson and his family, the glimmering new property was envisioned as a refined estate venue designed to host weddings, corporate functions, and other private celebrations.
“Our focus is really on creating a smooth, well-organized experience in a great setting,” said Rogerson of White Stone Events.
One key aspect of White Stone Events is that Rogerson and his family live on the property, so when they were building the event space, they were also creating a home for themselves.
One aspect of that home that was very important for Rogerson was a home gym.
“I originally got into fitness to improve as a motocross racer,” said Rogerson. “Even after moving on from racing and into other careers, fitness has always been something I come back to. As I made progress and hit my own goals, I became really interested in helping others do the same, which led me into personal training.”
As White Stone Events was taking shape, Rogerson visited Body-Solid dealer FitnessFactory.com‘s stores in Aurora and Forest Park to help outfit his new gym.
When Rogerson was looking for equipment for the facility, he wanted more than just good equipment; he wanted equipment that would last generations.

“Running events is very physical work — we’re constantly moving tables, chairs, and heavy equipment,” said Rogerson. “Having a gym helps make sure my family and I stay strong and healthy so we can do the work safely and efficiently.”
So far so good for Rogerson’s gym:
“I’m really happy (with the gym),” said Rogerson. “The Olympic plates have four grip holes, so even my kids can grab them and move them safely. They are also much quieter than iron, so it keeps the noise level down. The dumbbell set and EZ curl bar set are probably the highlights of my gym, they look and feel amazing!”
As for White Stone Events, the future looks great. Rogerson wants to continue to grow the business, while preserving its refined estate atmosphere:
“The goal is to keep improving the experience for our couples and clients and make sure the venue continues to support our family long-term,” said Rogerson.
